About Karen Law

Karen is a passionate advocate for wellbeing and has spent the last decade promoting good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. She is known locally, nationally and globally for her work within the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) community and her own story has inspired many people to make changes to improve their health.

“I want to help people get properly well before they get sick, so they can avoid the difficulties caused by lifestyle disease.”

After a successful career in journalism and instrumental music teaching, Karen studied Nutrition and Wellness Coaching in 2021. This scientific evidence-based training, combined with personal experience, makes her an ideal mentor.

Colleagues and clients describe Karen as friendly, professional, calm, supportive and down-to-earth.

Working with Overcoming MS founder Professor George Jelinek, Karen co-authored the book Recovering from Multiple Sclerosis (2013) and contributed a chapter to Roadmap to Overcoming MS (2021) both published by Allen and Unwin.

Karen is an award-winning songwriter and is a regular performer at folk clubs and festivals around Australia. She has released four albums of original music and plays in a band with her grown-up children.

Karen has run three half marathons, in 2017, 2021 and 2022.
Karen learned to meditate when she was diagnosed with MS in 2010 and has kept it up ever since. She completed a 10-day Vipassana meditation in 2022.

After five years travelling round Australia in a caravan, Karen settled on the Sunshine Coast in 2001 with her partner to raise their three children. They still live in Nambour.
